Graduate Research Associate, Sensorium: Centre for Digital Arts and Technology

  • Based in the School of the Arts, Media, Performance & Design (AMPD) at York University, Sensorium is a research centre for creative inquiry and experimentation at the intersection of the media arts, performance, and digital culture. Graduate Research Associates are students registered in graduate programmes at York University and engaged in research which resonates with the mandate of Sensorium


Research Assistant, Berlinklusion

  • Berlinklusion is a Berlin-based arts organization that aims "to implement positive change in Berlin’s cultural sector by embracing inclusion and increasing accessibility for artists, arts-workers, participants and audiences with all (dis)abilities"

  • During this summer internship, I supported the organization through attendance at museum tours, research related to operational and funding initiatives, and redesign of workflows

Research Assistant, Ontario Trillium Foundation

  • During this summer internship through York University’s Knowledge Mobilization Unit, I am responsible for conducting research on the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s “Inspired People” granting stream, which focuses on Ontario communities’ engagement with arts, culture, and heritage

  • This research focuses on uncovering evidence-based research related to initiatives within this granting stream, with the goal of assisting with future grant decisions and providing research on best and emerging practices to grant applicants

Program Coordinator, Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity

  • Responsible for coordination of core programming in the Music department, frequently liaising with other arts departments

  • Artist liaison for international roster of musicians; responsible for contracting, arranging travel and accommodation, payment, coordinating schedules, discussing production needs, etc

  • Primary support to Program Manager and Operations Manager on all program, financial and operational matters, including expense claims, budgets, vendor payments, and box office revenue tracking

  • Liaise with Box Office, Development, and Marketing departments regarding ticket sales, guest lists, donor events, and promotional information

  • Leads and assists with event coordination for multiple community projects outside of regular programming

  • Involved in various aspects of business process improvements across the organization, primarily database creation and upkeep

  • Various other tasks: arranging rehearsal schedules, procuring equipment, managing instrument bank inventory, document creation, ordering hospitality services, liaising with production staff, finalizing contractual and financial agreements, health & safety committee rep
